![]() ![]() The idea that redemption is only possible through death is tiresome, especially because Yamiko is a victim of the system, so implying that it would end with her death doesn't really make sense. It would be nice, if Yamiko could let go her hatred for Light adepts, become a better empress and restore the lands (like, build more villages or something), depending on the player's choices/playstyle. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย Hawke:About full Pacifist run, I've done it on the first try (with all medals for Twin Souls chapter), the ending hasn't changed. When one falls to grief, it's hard to get out of it. I get the feeling that if Yamikos friends had made it out of that situation alive, there could of been a entirely new story to tell. ![]() Where his friends had survived, and he had chose to fight with them in order to stop the Shadow Essence wielders and mainly Yamiko. And with Aragami, Ryo, having the same thing happen to him but on opposite playing field. One incident doesn't mean an entire essence wielding race needs to be destroyed but when under the effects of sadness anybody could do a lot of bad things because they wont be thinking correctly. Only that she chose to go with the darkness instead of finding a reason to forgive. I myself like mostly how at the end Yamiko said, "So do I." Makes you realize that even through all that revenge and malice she was just another victim of circumstance. The ending was interesting, I think this story was pretty well thought out and had some good little animations that include some lore. I write stories like these so I just think it's fracking awesome I get to play a game with such a rich and yet unknown world (which wants me want more), and at the same time has some kickass gameplay. ![]() Like Ryo/Aragami said in the end, the battle bewteen light nd darkness has been a hurricane even before they were born, and both him and Yamiko were the newly found owners carrying the torch. It was like Ying and Yang to me, in the darkness, there's a bit of light, which were Yamiko's friends, and in light there's a bit of darkness, which were the light adepts that killed her parents. Both the shadow and light adepts were both bad. Regardless, it is a sad yet beautiful story to me, and I think the end was just perfect. I wondered about that, if someone chose to not kill anyone. Not sure it's worth a replay unless there's an alternate way. Just for the "cut my men down" line, if nothing else. Is it just the one ending? I feel like at least the dialog should have been a bit different if I'd had a pacifist run. This explains the dragon, yamiko's reaction to your using it. I think she may have made you from the soul-sealing technique used against her to stuff her enemy's soul into the body of her old friend. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย DannyboyO1:From the scrolls and Yamiko saying something about putting you in that body in the graveyard. ![]()
